What is 2S Class in Train Booking?

If you travel a distance up to 200 KM then the fee is between 25 to 30 rupees. If you travel a distance up to 300 KM then the fee is between 35 to 40 rupees. As your path increases the fee will increase.

Is 2S and general the same?

Suppose you book 2S Reserved seating. You get a particular seat number when you book your ticket. But in other cases general tickets do not have a seat number, and you must find a seat on a first come. This is overcrowding and difficulty finding a seat, especially during peak season. 2S is slightly more expensive than the general class due to the guaranteed seat.

In the case of 2s basic things like fans, lights, and charging points are usually available. Some modern 2S coaches even have small tables. But in the case of general, no guaranteed things. Some coaches have fans, but they are not always functional.
