Erin Allier Moriarty (born June 24, 1994) is an American actress. She is best known for her role as Annie Jan / Starlight in the Amazon Prime Video series The Boys (2019–present), which is based on the comic book series of the same name. Prior to The Boys, she had notable roles in Netflix’s Jessica Jones (2015), HBO’s True Detective (2014), and ABC’s Red Widow (2013). Outside of television, she has appeared in the acclaimed independent films The Kings of Summer and Captain Fantastic among others.

Early life
Moriarty was born and raised in New York City. She began acting at the age of 11, starring as Annie in Annie’s 2005 community theater production. Upon graduating from high school, she avoided attending college to pursue acting.
Acting career
Moriarty was featured in her first professional roles as a teenager, starring in the television series One Life to Live and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Her first role was as Vince Vaughn’s daughter in the 2012 comedy film The Watch; Kelly, the love interest of Nick Robinson’s character in the 2013 indie comedy The Kings of Summer; and Natalie, the daughter of the main character in the short-lived ABC drama series Red Widow.
She was then cast in a supporting role in the sci-fi film After the Dark, which premiered in 2013, and had a recurring role as Audrey Hart in the first season of True Detective, in trouble with Woody Harrelson’s character. children.
